A preferential policy -- “Commuter Ticket” -- has been launched by the Urban Planning and Construction Bureau of the Executive Committee of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, providing commuting services for Hengqin-Macao cross-border commuters and those commuting between Hengqin and other districts of Zhuhai. Employees of enterprises on the island may ride for half the regular fare.

As of now, Hengqin Smart Commuting Line offers 63 lines with over 500 stops en route. Among which 60 lines run within Zhuhai city, covering  Xiangzhou, Jida, Gongbei, Tangjia, Jinding, Doumen, Jinwan, and Zhongshan’s Tanzhou town. The three cross-border lines cover the areas of Macao Peninsula and Taipa Island.

How to use:

1. Follow Wechat account “LcolaTech” (小可乐科技), Click the column of “commuting” (通勤) and register in “Book A Seat” (横琴号订座). After the real name authentication, you can succeed to book a seat.

2. The booking system will send a message to remind the passengers of the departure time. The system also provides real-time vehicle positioning.

3. After ticket purchasing, passengers can get on the bus by scanning the QR code or finger vein verification.
