The Shunde Commune-Chengfeng (Wind-Riding) Platform section of Small Hengqin (Xiaohengqin) Mt Trail opened Jan 31 to welcome Chinese New Year holiday-goers.

Reserve a free visit via WeChat mini program “hengqin manshenghuo” (横琴蔓生活), and scan QR codes at the entrance gate near the Central Ditch Liaison Office of Foshan's Shunde District in Hengqin off Shunjing Road. Opening hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The entire trip will take about an hour and a half.

Smoking and open flames are strictly prohibited in the forests. Camping and swimming are also not allowed.Hikers should ensure their own safety and not enter undeveloped or dangerous areas and avoid unopened pathways. Currently, there is no toilet facility on the mountain. In case of emergency, call 86-756-8841 261 (fire rescue) or 86-756-8648311/8648110 (police service).

The entire greenway trail winds 14.6 km along Small Hengqin Mt in the north of Hengqin. It offers slow-go experiences featuringecological protection, leisure and recreation, cultural experience, and city image. The project also includes 46,000 sqm of forest restoration and 1,433 sqm of ecological ponds.

Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Hengqin Island and landmarks of Macao such as the Macao Tower and Grand Lisboa Macao. Shenzhen Bay and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge can also be seen from the mountain top.

To get there, drive to “小横琴山绿道（顺德公社出入口）” (Small Hengqin Mt Trail (entrance-exit at Shunde Commune)) using GPS navigation. Or take Bus 87 to “颂琴” (Songqin) and walk about 1 km to the destination.
