Starting September 25, schools in the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and Macao SAR resumed classes, and from 2 p.m., the Hengqin Hospital reopened outpatient services.

As Typhoon Ragasa gradually moved away from Hengqin, Zhuhai downgraded the red typhoon warning at 8 p.m. on September 24. From that time, Hengqin began lifting the "five suspensions" (suspension of classes, work, production, transportation, and business operations).

Kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, as well as off-campus training institutions in Hengqin will organize the resumption of classes in an orderly manner starting September 25. The specific reopening times will be subject to each school's notice.

In Macao, Typhoon Signal No. 3 was issued at 11 p.m. on September 24. Universities and secondary schools will resume classes on September 25, while the resumption of classes for primary, kindergarten, and special education schools will depend on the typhoon signal.

Since 8 p.m. on September 24, the Hengqin Hospital has already resumed inpatient and emergency services, and temporary medical points have been withdrawn. From 2 p.m. on September 25, the hospital will also reopen outpatient services.

Post-typhoon safety reminders:

Food hygiene: Heavy rainfall combined with hot and humid weather can lead to rapid bacterial growth and food spoilage. Do not taste food to judge safety. Store food properly, cook thoroughly, wash hands frequently, and disinfect utensils to ensure cleanliness.

Water safety: Flooding may damage water treatment facilities or destroy water pipelines, creating potential risks for drinking water.

Stagnant water: Rainwater from the typhoon may leave standing water, which can become breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Be sure to clear the environment to prevent diseases such as chikungunya and dengue fever.
