The expansion and renovation project of the passenger inspection channels commenced on March 2 this year and was completed after approximately 200 days of construction.

The new channels boast optimized hardware design and smart functions, including expanded fingerprint collection areas, quieter sliding doors, and adjustable collection screens, delivering a smoother trial operation following comprehensive testing.

Statistics show that the new Hengqin Port inspection hall has recorded more than 110 million inbound and outbound passenger trips since its opening on August 18, 2020, with an average annual growth rate of 37.5 percent.
