On February 13, the Guangdong Office of the Macao Chamber of Commerce hosted a New Year tea party at the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. As a social gathering, the event was held to better unite Hengqin and Macao enterprises. Over 250 attendees, including government department heads and enterprise representatives from Hengqin and Macao, were present.

At the event, Ma Chi Ngai, president of the Macao Chamber of Commerce, emphasized that "Macao + Hengqin" is becoming a new model for enriching the practice of "one country, two systems," a new highland for advancing the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and a new platform for achieving high-level national opening to the world.

He further shared that, since its establishment two years ago, the Guangdong Office of the Macao Chamber of Commerce has organized over 300 events, including seminars, visits, exchanges, enterprise services, research, and networking activities, fostering communication between over 700 government entities, organizations, and enterprises, and serving nearly 5,300 people.

During the meeting, nine young Macao entrepreneurs shared their entrepreneurial experiences in Hengqin, discussing industries, talent, and culture. They expressed confidence in the future development of Hengqin and Macao under the broader context of Guangdong-Macao cooperation.

It was also revealed that the 18th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention(WCEC)will be held in November 2025 in Macao and Hengqin. WCEC is a prestigious global event that brings together Chinese entrepreneurs, business leaders, and professionals from around the world. This year's edition aims to further strengthen ties among global Chinese business communities, promote cross-border collaboration, and contribute to the advancement of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
