Main responsibilities:
1. Responsible for promoting the development of sci-tech R&D, high-end manufacturing, and Macao-branded industries such as traditional Chinese medicine, as well as tourism, exhibitions, and trade in the Cooperation Zone.
2. Responsible for establishing technological innovation mechanisms, managing and optimizing the allocation of technological resources, organizing major sci-tech research programs, and driving the industrialization of R&D results.
3. Responsible for formulating and implementing investment promotion policies in the Cooperation Zone, organizing investment promotion programs, leading investment attraction for the three major industries, and coordinating external cooperation efforts.
4. Responsible for supervising, managing, and providing services for foreign investment in accordance with the law, handling foreign investment information reporting, and establishing and improving the regulatory framework for investment activities in the Cooperation Zone.
5. Responsible for coordinating and strengthening full-cycle enterprise services throughout the Cooperation Zone, promoting the implementation of industrial projects and the development of industrial platforms, and facilitating the agglomeration of high-end industrial factors and resources in the Cooperation Zone.
6. Responsible for coordinating initiatives related to the Hengqin International Leisure Tourism Island.
7. Responsible for implementing the“line-based”management policy of the Cooperation Zone, coordinating port construction, management, and institutional innovation, facilitating customs clearance, and establishing and improving coordination mechanisms for port clearance cooperation.
8. Responsible for regulating industries, providing public services, and enforcing administrative laws in the fields of science and technology, industry and information technology, commerce, and tourism management in the Cooperation Zone, and exercising administrative penalties and coercive powers in the aforesaid fields.
9. Responsible for any other tasks assigned by the Executive Committee.
